CLASSES & WORKSHOPS

We offer several workshops, classes and topics. All the supplies are provided. You can book a group or just yourself. We also do homeschool classes for all ages. Look through the classes and pick one that is of interest to you and your group, and if there is a set date and time , this means that there is already at least one student. We will make room for you if you want to join. If there is no date or time set, you can be the first to set your date and time, and we will try to get others to join. Call our shop at 423-518-1229 and sign up. We ask a $10 deposit for a workshop for the sake of getting your table set up. We can take the deposit over the phone for your convenience, or you can stop in the shop and pay. We give a courtesy call or text the day before to remind you and confirm your attendance.

Monday September 18th @ 10:00 am  HERB WALK–PLANT IDENTIFICATION IN THE WILD– $25 The location will be Happy Trails Roadside park coming into Roan Mountain on 19 E 

Saturday September  9th @ 2:00 pm  BASIC TEA BLENDING WORKSHOP   $25

CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS WE OFFER:

HERBS 101 $25. 

We will discuss several herbs and their benefits, learn how to make tea from a variety of materials including leaves, flowers, barks, berries and roots. You will learn how to make supplements from the powders and will take home a bottle of 100 capsules that you made yourself! Instructor– Patrice Heinz, M.H.

HERBAL SURVIVAL KIT $25 

We will discuss 17 vital herbs and their uses, and learn how to preserve them for long term storage in tincture form. We will talk about crisis scenarios and design a survival kit based on a checklist of your personal health concerns and those of your family members. Instructor– Patrice Heinz, M.H.

TEA BLENDING WORKSHOP $25

Instructor–Patrice Heinz, M.H. We will learn the basics of tea blending and apply it to functional formulas. You will learn a short history of tea, the main types of tea and where they are grown. We will discuss several herbs and their benefits and how to combine herbs to make blends that benefit specific health needs, teas that relax or energize our bodies, or teas that just taste great! We will create our own tea blend using flowers, spices, barks and leaves in a decorative package for gifting or simply to take home and enjoy.

CULINARY HERB & SPICE BLENDING $25

Instructor–Patrice Heinz, M.H. We will learn the medicinal benefits of several culinary herbs and spices and how to blend them for use in food preparation. You will create your own seasoning blend for soups and stews.

MAKING ELDERBERRY SYRUP $25

Instructor–Michele Royce. We will walk through from start to finish how to make a batch of Elderberry Syrup. Michele also discusses herbs and essential oils you can use for an added immune boost. You will take home your own jar of syrup. Supplies are all provided.

CLEANSE AND RENEW $25

Instructor–Patrice Heinz, M.H. We will discuss various ways to do an herbal cleanse . It is a good idea to cleanse when you start a healing program, an immune preventative for viruses and variants, for weight loss, or to maintain a healthy body. We talk about fasting, gut health, diet, supplements for a targeted organ cleanse, and herbs that build up each organ as well as the blood stream. There are even ways to cleanse the eyes, the skin, and get rid of built-up nervous tension from electronic devices. We will create and take home an herbal detox tea blend.

ESSENTIAL OILS AND THEIR BENEFITS $25

Instructor–Michele Royce. We will learn 5 oils and their benefits, and how to administer them with confidence. Learn which oils you can ingest, which are not safe for consumption. We will learn how to formulate a calming blend and will make and take home our own calming air freshener spray.
